Central Florida Prep becomes the first private school in Orange County to go one-to-one with technology
In 2009 Central Florida Preparatory School became the first private school in Orange County to adopt a one-to-one instructional technology model, with a device for every student and a digital curriculum to match. By 2011 roughly three quarters of its graduates were completing at least two Advanced Placement courses or earning college credit through dual enrollment with Valencia College.
The school kept the habit. Its two STEM labs now run Project Lead The Way courses, 3D printing, drone piloting, and flight simulators, and its high school offers pathways in aeronautics, biomedical technology, entrepreneurship, and culinary arts.
